Myself and my group created the character profiles in order to gain a wider understanding of how these characters would be portrayed in our soap opera. We have tried to base our characters on typical characters found in soap operas. For example: stronge women, gangstar men and pregnant teenager. We hoped that the character profiles would help us relate to our characters and create them so they relate to our target audience. We also added images of different soap opera and film characters that we found defined their role. Here is the character profiles I created.

I analysised two soap opera posters in order to develop my knowledge within soap operas and knowledge within posters. I wanted to know the common conventions within a soap opera poster before my group made our own soap opera poster.
I learnt about how to use, costume, lighting, characters, and use of text which will help me a lot when it comes to making my own soap opera poster.

Soap Opera Magazines Analysis
I looked at these two soap opera magazines as they are both popular and show all genertic conventions of a soap opera magazine. As they show all the generic conventions of a soap opera magazine it was easy to gain knowledge and find interesting points on the magazine which we could then use on our own soap opera magazine.
