Inital ideas on soap opera poster

My initial ideas on my groups soap opera Poster

We wanted to include on our poster:

• A picture that introduces the characters whilst showing a story line which will interest the audience so they are interested in watching the soap opera.
• We also wanted to show the time, date and channel the soap opera will be being played on.
• The title of the soap opera would also need to be included, preferably big and bold so the audience can see what the poster is about in order to want to watch the soap.

We wanted to show all the generic conventions of soap opera poster. These included:

• A bold heading with a sub title under or around the heading
• Showing the time and date the soap would be played on
• Having the background as a large photo rather than a plain colour so the readers knew the new characters of the new soap
• Having a tag line showingShowing main story lines

Before making our poster we will look over these initial ideas and try to make our soap opera poster fit the generic conventions as far as possible in order to make our poster to the best of its ability.
